The Geelong Chamber Music Society acknowledges the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, learn and work. We pay our respects to First Peoples past and present, and we recognise their continuing connection to land, water and culture.
Geelong Chamber Music Society presents fine music for Geelong. Our concerts feature chamber ensembles and soloists from Australia as well as international artists. Our concerts are held at McAuley Hall, Sacred Heart College, Aphrasia Street Geelong.
We welcome new supporters, subscribers and concert goers and especially welcome young people.
Aside from our 5 annual concerts, GCMS also sponsors many activities involving the Geelong community and music. Our focus is on young musicians, often in association with Musica Viva.
We support the Australian Youth Classical Music Competition, to which we annually contribute the First Prize money of $2000.
